A Guide To Choosing Promotional Umbrellas

When you choose to hand out promotional umbrellas, you'll have several further decisions to make. You'll need to decide on a price range, and choose colors and styles for the items you want. Here's a quick guide to getting the most out of your decisions and choosing the best umbrellas for your purpose.
Price
The price of your umbrellas will usually determine how many you can afford to give away, but it's usually better to approach this decision from the other end. First, decide how many you're going to need, and then calculate how much you can afford to spend per item. There are plenty of great options in several price ranges, so you'll be able to find some good choices regardless of the size of your budget.
Whatever your price range is, consider choosing the best quality items you can afford to buy. Giving away poorly made items will reflect very badly on your company-you don't want the promotional umbrellas you distribute to cause people to think that your company does not consider quality an important factor.
Size
Choosing between large and small umbrellas might seem easy, but you'll need to consider a few things when making this decision. Where do you intend the umbrellas to be used? Are you giving them away as for a specific type of promotion, or just as a general free gift? For example, if you're planning to distribute promotional umbrellas at the beach during summer to promote your line of beachwear, giving away smaller rain umbrellas won't work at all-in this case you'll need to choose large beach umbrellas of the kind that people will actually use at the beach. On the other hand, if you want to market your umbrellas as items that can store conveniently in a handbag or the glove box of a car, then choosing the smallest size you can find is a better option.
Color
Most styles of promotional umbrella come in a fairly wide range of colors. There's plenty of choice in this area, so if you have a company color scheme you want to match, this is quite easy to do. Some umbrella styles can be printed using a process called color matching, so you can choose colors according to your exact specifications if you need a unique color scheme that is not already available.
Other Style Considerations
The wide variety of promotional umbrellas available means you can choose automatic umbrellas, mini automatic umbrellas, golf umbrellas, beach umbrellas, and of course the standard rain umbrella. Many mini umbrellas come complete with a small storage pouch that the umbrella can be stored in for convenient carrying, and some styles of umbrella are specially treated with Teflon, which allows them to dry more quickly. In other cases, you can choose umbrellas with vented canopies-this neat little design trick adds to the stability of the umbrella. Choosing promotional umbrellas with these extra features will add to the cost, of course. However, if you're really determined to select the best quality umbrellas, choosing items that are Teflon-treated and include a vented canopy will ensure the item will be of the best quality.
